History

Dirk van Staalduinen started around 1919 offering transport by horse and cart. In 1952 his sons Koos and Dirk took the business over. At that time, the company operated under the name of Gebr. Van Staalduinen and was specialized in the transport of manure, coal and fuel oil to greenhouses and of agricultural products to and from the auction. In the 1960s the rapid rise of natural gas resulted in an expansion of our activities. The transportation and distribution of lubricating oil to garages and ships in the Benelux now became one of the core jobs. In 1978 the company stopped transporting vegetables. The focus shifted more to storing inventory and transporting lubrication oil. In 1985, the company was taken over by Jan van Staalduinen – the next generation. In 1987 Gebr. Van Staalduinen started with the transport and distribution of fertilizers for substrate cultivation. For over 90 years, the company has been a real family business which is still evident through the personal approach and the involvement of several generations in the business.
